holder of the son (beginnings)
My artist day is in full swing after an hour of yoga, and a huge breakfast(I am presently reading "French Women Don't Get Fat", but that is another post.) Paint is flying in honor of my rant yesterday against all things christmas commercial. Realism can't convey what we can hardly grasp and so an expressionist/abstract approach hit me over the head this morning. A different take on the madonna as the "holder of the son" while He is the holder of the sun. A brief moment in time mary held the universe in her hands. The concept kind of blows me away.

at 4:15. A solid start.

Looks great! Can't wait to see it when it's done!
So, where do we order reprints of your work? :) Seriously, do you sell reprints? Do you have an online gallery of your stuff?

i'm with chris blair - i'd love to 'own' an original - but know that you're far above my budget - but a print - that would be a wonderful thing! i've never heard you blog on the retail end of things - do you have a gallery??? inquiring minds want to know! (and shop!)

Thanks you guys. I appreciate that. I haven't begun to make prints of any of my work yet, but I am looking into it. An online gallery is something that my son is putting together for me. What fun!
